HB Concerts announced Monday a slew of new concert events to be held at Promenade Park this summer.

The company announced that multi-Platinum selling R&B/hip-hop group TLC, ’70s AM-radio tribute act Yachtley Crew, and internationally renowned Latin music band Palomazo Norteno will be coming to the downtown Toledo stage. Tickets for all shows go on sale to the general public Friday.

TLC has two Diamond-selling albums to its name ( CrazySexyCool and Fanmail ), four No. 1 singles, 10 Top Ten singles, four Grammy Awards, and five MTV Awards, among other accolades. TLC will perform Aug. 22.

Yachtley Crew is billed as “The Nation’s #1 Yacht Rock Band” and will perform soft rock favorites from the 1970s and 1980s. The group will perform Aug. 11.

Palomazo Norteno, which hails from Mexico, has fans all over the world for its energetic live performances. The group mixes traditional Latin music with contemporary sounds. Palomazo Norteno’s concert is scheduled Aug. 9.

Former Grand Funk Railroad front man Mark Farner will perform with his group, Mark Farner’s American Band, on Aug. 3 during Jeep Fest.

Earlier this year, the company, run by Michigan-based promoter Hunter Brucks, announced that hip hop artist Flo Rida would open the concert series July 13, with an “’80s Rock Invasion” from the likes of Steven Pearcy from Ratt and Great White to follow July 19.

One final show in the series is expected to be announced Tuesday.
