    Final scores from the 2024 VT high school girls basketball title games at Barre Aud

    Three teams down the nets on the final day of the 2023-24 Vermont high school winter season.

    A trio of girls basketball championship games in Division II, III and IV were decided at Barre Auditorium: West Rutland reigned in Division IV for a three-peat, Fair Haven unseated North Country in D-II and Hazen captured its first crown since 1991 in halting Windsor's D-III reign.

    DIVISION II

    No. 4 Fair Haven 55, No. 1 North Country 50

    FH: Izzy Cole 19 points (four 3s). Kate Hadwen 12 points. Maddy Perry 8 points. Elizabeth Love 7 points.NC: Sabine Brueck 14 points. Maya Auger 10 points. Josi Fortin 9 points. Aaliyah Wilburn 7 points.

    Note: Fair Haven trailed 17-2 midway through the first quarter. Perry's 3-pointer with 1:25 to go gave the Slaters the lead for good at 50-48.

    DIVISION III

    No. 1 Hazen 66, No. 2 Windsor 56

    H: Caitlyn Davison 24 points. Kelsie Rivard 16 points.

    W: Sydney Perry 23 points. Brianna Barton 14 points. Sophia Rockwood 8 points. Aubrey Rupp 7 points.

    Note: Davison scored 26 of her game-high total in the second second for Hazen, which dethroned two-time defending champion for the Wildcats' first title since 1991.

    DIVISION IV

    No. 2 West Rutland 49, No. 1 Long Trail 38

    WR: Peyton Guay 22 points. Aubrey Beaulieu 11 points. Bella Coombs 8 points, 14 rebounds.

    LT: Olivia Cole-Bugay 16 points.

    Note: West Rutland captures third straight title.
