Following Clemson’s first scrimmage of fall camp Saturday at Memorial Stadium, head coach Dabo Swinney gave an overall update on how his team came out of the scrimmage from a health standpoint.

Swinney also addressed the injury statuses of multiple players on both sides of the ball.

Swinney said senior tight end Jake Briningstool has been limited.

“We kind of limited Brinny this week,” Swinney said. “Working him back in. He should be ready to go Monday.”

Another pass-catcher, redshirt sophomore receiver Cole Turner, was a limited participant in Saturday’s scrimmage.

“He’s another guy that had a good first three days, and then he got a little banged up, and we just got him back today,” Swinney said. “We just kind of limited him today, but just being smart with him.”

Swinney said redshirt freshman running back Jarvis Green was held out of the scrimmage and is day-to-day.

Defensively, junior cornerback Jeadyn Lukus is day-to-day right now as well.

“He’s out right now, but we should get him back here pretty soon,” Swinney said.

Swinney also provided injury updates on a few defensive linemen, including redshirt freshmen defensive tackles Vic Burley and Stephiylan Green.

“He’s day-to-day,” Swinney said of Burley. “He had a good day yesterday. Wasn’t quite ready to scrimmage today. But he’s working his way back in there.”

“Stephiylan, same thing. Just not quite ready yet,” Swinney added. “Working his way back, day-to-day.”

Swinney added that defensive end Cade Denhoff is “fine.” The redshirt junior was among the players in a green (limited contact) jersey during the portion of the latest practice that was open to the media Wednesday.
