The ongoing growth of modern classical music, a cause long championed by Columbus community leaders Jack and Zoe Johnstone , led to the creation of the Johnstone Fund for New Music .

Since 2008, the fund has supported the creation and performance of new works for audiences throughout central Ohio such as the New Music at Short North Stage concert series that makes up its 12 th season.

Running almost monthly through June 2025, the series will offer nine free performances at Short North Stage, 1187 N. High St.
