    UPDATE: Two-vehicle crash kills Texas man on LA 311, Louisiana State Police report

    Update 1:28 p.m., Aug 29: A Texas man was killed after his motorcycle was struck by another vehicle in Terrebonne Parish.

    Garret Ellisor, 29, of Canyon Lake, Texas, died Aug. 28, after his motorcycle was struck by a BMW just before 5 p.m. on LA 311, near Sugar Highland Boulevard, Louisiana State Police said. Ellisor was wearing a DOT approved helmet, suffered fatal injuries and died on the scene.

    Roy Miller Jr., of Houma, was driving the 2024 BMW X6 traveling east on Sugar Highland Boulevard. He was properly restrained and uninjured. LSP is investigating whether Miller failed to yield.

    Miller showed no signs of impairment and voluntarily provided a breath sample, which detected no alcohol. Standard toxicology samples were collected from Ellisor and submitted for analysis.

    Louisiana State Police Troop C investigated a two-vehicle crash about 5:50 p.m. Wednesday on LA 311, near Sugar Highland Boulevard that left one person dead, LSP Sgt. Ross Brennan said.
