With the 2024 high school football season beginning Aug. 23, The Courier Journal has compiled a list of the 10 top wide receivers/tight ends in the Louisville area. We are asking you — our readers — to vote here on which wide receiver/tight end you think will have the best season.
Listed below are 10 nominees for preseason wide receiver/tight end of the year. Players from the following counties were eligible: Bullitt, Jefferson, Oldham, Shelby and Spencer.
The poll closes at 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 22, and the winner will be announced Friday, Aug. 23.

Year: Sophomore
Height/weight: 5-7/145
What to know: Expected to have a breakout season after catching nine passes for 171 yards and two touchdowns as a freshman. Has offers from Eastern Kentucky, Kentucky, Louisville, Miami (Ohio), Missouri State and Toledo.

What to know: Tight end had 24 catches for 321 yards and six touchdowns. Earned first-team all-district and second-team All-Louisville honors . Committed to Southern Illinois.

What to know: Missed most of last season with a sports hernia, catching 15 passes for 226 yards and a touchdown. As a sophomore, he led CAL with 51 catches for 967 yards and 12 touchdowns. Has offers from Austin Peay, Eastern Illinois, Eastern Kentucky, Lindenwood, Southeast Missouri State and Tennessee-Martin.
