BERLIN, Ala. – The Berlin Area Neighborhood Watch will hold its next meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 17, at 6 p.m. at the Berlin Community Center, located at 3309 U.S. Highway 278 E. Attendees do not have to be members to attend the monthly meetings, which are held on the third Tuesday of each month.

The Berlin Area Neighborhood Watch was founded by Edith Stevenson to foster community relationships with hopes of enabling a safety net around each resident within the community.

“There have been some pocket areas of our community that have had problems arise as well as the drug epidemic hitting Cullman, Alabama. We hope that the Berlin Neighborhood Watch decreases the crime activity that has been destroying our small, tight-knit community,” a representative of the Berlin Area Neighborhood Watch shared.

This month’s guest speaker will be Lt. Amber Smith, Cullman County Sheriff’s Office dispatch supervisor, who will discuss how dispatch handles calls from the community and what community members can expect when calling for assistance.

For more information or to become a member, contact Edith Stevenson at 256-709-3163 or visit Berlin Town Hall.
