CULLMAN, Ala. – Cullman woman and Pink Boot Boutique Owner Shayla Waldner had a vision to eventually host a Christmas market when she initially started her business, with a passion for fashion, clothing and, overall, giving women confidence in their daily lives.

Waldner will host a Christmas market at the Cullman County Agricultural Trade Center on Saturday, Nov. 30, from 10 a.m.-6 p.m.

“I started the Pink Boot in October 2023 and knew immediately I wanted to host a Christmas market, but my hands were full with opening a mobile boutique at the moment,” Waldner said. “I love going to holiday events and markets, but wanted something that was curated toward small businesses. After months of researching and talking to other big event hosts, I booked the Cullman Agricultural Center in July.”

Waldner said she tried to talk herself out of it multiple times in fear of the process being too overwhelming. But eventually, she knew to see the goal through she had to commit fully to the process.

“I knew I couldn’t turn back after our event page for the small business Christmas market reached over 3,000 people in a month and we had 40 vendors — I knew this is what I wanted to be doing,” she said. “My hopes for this is to do a Small Business Christmas every year and add in a ‘Small Business Easter’ as well as a ‘Christmas in July’ market — all being held at the Cullman Ag Center annually.”

Waldner said she receives multiple inquiries, messages and emails about people wanting to become vendors daily.

“Never did I think it would turn into this,” she said. “I can’t wait to see what Small Business Christmas holds for us Nov. 30, 2024.”

Vendor applications are still be accepted, as the venue holds up to 100 vendors.

“We have several women’s clothing, custom trucker hats, a custom cowboy hat bar, kids’ clothes, home decor, jewelry, food, kids’ books, Christmas ornaments, door hangers — anything you can think of,” Waldner said. “To apply, reach out directly to the Pink Boot (Facebook) page.”

The cost to rent a 12×12 vendor booth is $200 — which includes electricity if it’s needed.
