    Things to do: Enjoy dinner and entertainment while supporting community development

    Support the Guernsey County Community Development Committee and attend its 14th annual winter banquet on Saturday. Funds raised from the banquet will be used for the upkeep and repair of the Great Guernsey Trail along with other projects tackled by the development committee. Tickets begin at $50 with various levels of sponsorship available. The evening kicks off with a cocktail hour and live entertainment by Landon Boggs from 5 to 6 p.m., followed by a catered dinner, raffle and awards presentation.     Symphonic concert

    The Cambridge High School Concert Band will join The Ohio State University Symphonic Band for a performance at the Pritchard Laughlin Civic Center. The show will feature the school's concert band followed by a performance by the OSU Symphonic Band. Attendance is free, but the band will be accepting donations.     Fish fry

    There's something about warmer weather and grabbing a fish dinner from a fire department that just feels like spring. Head to Caldwell as the guys and gals of the fire department host their first fish fry of the year. The menu will include battered Coleman fish, a baked potato or fresh cut French fries, cole slaw, a roll, dessert and a drink, all for $15 per dinner or $20 for a container of only fish. Guests will have the option to dine in or carry out or opt for limited local delivery. Food service will begin at 4 p.m. Friday and will continue until sold out.     Brew festival

    Enjoy an evening at COSI for the 21+ crowd at the third annual Columbus Brew Festival. Sample more than 150 beers from 50-plus breweries. The festival is scheduled to run from 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday, March 9. Admission includes beer samplings and access to the museum exhibits. Food will be available for purchase separately.     Consignment event

    Make room in those kiddos' closets for some new-to-you spring and summer clothes and more at the My Mommy Mart consignment sale in Marietta. The public sale runs from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Shop discounted items on Monday, or come back from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday for the dollar dash.
