    Things to do: Cruise down Wheeling Avenue for classic car show

    EDITOR'S NOTE: This story has been updated with the correct date of the car show. CAMBRIDGE — The Cambridge Classic Cruise-in and Car Show will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 14, on Wheeling Avenue in Cambridge. Participants and visitors can view some classic cars from the 1920s, '30s, '40s and beyond, as this event has become a summer staple in Cambridge. The event, sponsored by Cambridge Main Street and the Guernsey County Community Development Center, is a free, family-friendly event. Author Jimmy Dinsmore will speak at 1 p.m. and will be available throughout the day to share stories and autograph his books. Awards will be given out in various categories, including oldest driver and largest club.     Arts and crafts fest

    CAMBRIDGE — The Salt Fork Arts and Crafts Festival returns Friday, Saturday and Sunday to Cambridge City Park. Check out the festival for shopping, history, food, and fun. Live music will be taking place at various spots throughout the weekend. Festival hours are from noon to 6 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.     Block party

    BYESVILLE — Second Street is the place to be on the third Thursday of the month in Byesville. Happening on Thursday, Aug. 15, the monthly event brings food trucks and activities to the village square. Due to the construction of Patriot Park and the gazebo being down, there is no musical act scheduled for this event. The party will run from 5 to 7 p.m. Numerous vendors and possibly those from the farmers market will be on-site.     Bridgerton-themed ball

    LOUDONVILLE — Head to Landoll’s Mohican Castle for an unforgettable Bridgerton-themed evening, full of food, dancing and reverie. Guests will enjoy a five-course plated Regency-era dinner, and a full bar will be available. Following dinner, take to the dance floor and follow along as dance instructors teach you the moves. A photo booth will also be available to capture special moments of the night. Guests are encouraged to wear Regency-era garb, such as corsets, empire waist clothing and tailcoats, though not required. Doors open at 6 p.m., and the cost is $80.     Food truck festival

    COSHOCTON — Head to Historic Roscoe Village for a day of food trucks and fun on Saturday, Aug. 17. Vendors will be on hand selling crafts and homemade food, and Randy Velez and Last Call will be performing live. Kids can keep busy getting their faces painted, playing with hula hoops or bubbles, and checking out talents of the stilt walker. Those interested in taking the Living History Tour will be able to see the blacksmith at work and others as they dress in time-period clothing and talk about the village. Some of the food trucks scheduled to be on hand are Real McCoy BBQ, Slumdogs, Biscotti by the Bunch and more. The event is scheduled to run from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. For more information call 740-622-7644.
