    School cafeterias pass health inspections

    BROOKHAVEN — School cafeterias in Lincoln County and Brookhaven School Districts passed with flying colors this past week. The Mississippi Department of Health publishes local restaurant inspections on an online database.

    Eight schools passed their respective health inspections. West Lincoln Attendance Center earned an “A” rating for the 18th straight time since 2013, the first inspection shown in the online records.

    C.H. Lipsey Middle School in Brookhaven School District earned an “A” rating for the 17th straight time since 2013. Fannie Mullins Achievement Center earned an “A” rating for the third straight time and an “A” rating for the 16th time since 2013. Only one “B” rating ruined the perfect record streak.

    Brookhaven High School earned an “A” rating for the 17th straight time since 2013. Brookhaven Elementary School earned an “A” rating for the 17th straight time since 2013.

    Alexander Junior High School earned an “A” rating for the third straight time and 15th time since 2013. One “B” rating kept Alexander from a perfect “A” rating streak.

    Enterprise School, in the Lincoln County School District, earned an A rating for the 17th time since 2016. Bogue Chitto School, in the Lincoln County School District, earned an A rating for the 18th time since 2016.

    Cracker Barrel Old Country Store on Brookway Boulevard has not had a re-inspection since it earned a “C” rating.
