    Lemon Bay's McKenzie Brown wins essay contest

    ENGLEWOOD — The Englewood Democratic Club awarded a $1,000 scholarship to McKenzie Brown, a student at Lemon Bay High School.

    Tony Dunbar and Chris Kenealy presented the award to Brown on May 6, during the school's annual awards ceremony.

    Students were asked to write an essay answering the following question: "What are some strategies for encouraging youth participation in politics?"
