Dr Pepper has grown in popularity with Americans over the years and Krispy Kreme is responding to the increased demand.

Krispy Kreme and Dr Pepper launched a collection of doughnuts for football season with one of them a soda-flavored sweet treat.

What is included in the Krispy Kreme doughnut collection?

The collection features:

• Dr Pepper Kickoff Doughnut (new): An Original Glazed doughnut piped with Dr Pepper flavored frosting, featuring a burgundy sprinkle blend and topped with a white chocolate Dr Pepper logo.
• Buttercreme Goals Doughnut (new): An Original Glazed doughnut dipped in green icing, topped with colorful sprinkles and a yellow buttercreme flavored goal post.
• Kreme Filled Football Doughnut: An unglazed doughnut filled with white cream, dripped in chocolate icing and decorated as a football.

How long can I get a Dr Pepper doughnut?

The collection is available in stores and for pick-up at participating shops or for delivery via Krispy Kreme's app and website through Sept. 2.

A custom half-dozen box also is available at some retailers, including Walmart, Kroger, Food Lion, Publix and Stater Brothers.

Where is Krispy Kreme in the Des Moines metro?

There are three Krispy Kreme locations around the Des Moines metro. The location in Clive is temporarily closed after a fire in July, according to the Des Moines Register .
