County offers Mishawaka landfill rate through 2030

GOSHEN — Elkhart County Council on Thursday passed an agreement with the City of Mishawaka that sets landfill rates through 2030.

Mishawaka is one of several municipal customers in and around the county that hold a contract with the Elkhart County Landfill for solid waste disposal. The interlocal memorandum of understanding that was approved sets rates further out than the county’s landfill ordinance, which stops at 2026, to help the city as it shops around for service.
