Easton's La Cucina Italian restaurant is closed for good. What to know

NORTH EASTON — It’s a sad day in Easton as folks say their last goodbyes to La Cucina Ristorante , which closed for good in August.

The restaurant announced via Facebook that its last day for the Easton location was Aug. 11.

But the Falmouth La Cucina Sul Mare , located at 237 Main St., remains open.

“Thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate this difficult time. Thank you so much for your support and for allowing us to be a part of the Easton community for these past five years,” the restaurant said.

The post thanked all the customers and staff who helped the business become a success.

“We are so grateful for each and every one of you. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you,” The restaurant said.

The married owners, Mark and Cynthia Cilfone, have worked in restaurants since they were young, and their dream was always to own a restaurant.

“After working various restaurant jobs in the area for years, the couple finally found the perfect spot for their dream ” when they opened their Falmouth location in 2002, their website said.

“We are a family run restaurant with a dedication to delicious food, excellent service, and an intimate atmosphere. Our family would like to thank you for enjoying our restaurant and truly making it a dream come true,” the website continued.

According to the Facebook post, the restaurant stayed open as long as possible to help give staff and customers time to process the information before proceeding to the next step.
