Beginning Oct. 1, she will report to the Purdue for Life Board of Managers led by chair President Mung Chiang, following in the footsteps of Matt Folk, who stepped down after five years in the position.

She was appointed president of the Americas Paralympic Committee in 2018, making her the first woman and first U.S. representative to lead the group.

Dussliere earned a bachelor of arts in Russian from Purdue in 1994. She was also an Academic All-Big Ten Conference honoree in swimming.

After Purdue, she earned a master of arts in Slavic and East European studies from Ohio State University and took on various swimming coach roles. She then served on the U.S. Olympic Committee for 15 years.
