Public allowed to comment on proposed Duke Energy rates
Duke Energy has requested a raise in energy bill rates, according to a press release. If approved, the case would allow Duke Energy to raise the rates for each residential customer’s flat, monthly connection charge by $3.16. Volumetric charges would also rise, so that projected cost for an average monthly residential bill for 1,000 kWh would be $170.67. The proposed rates would begin March 2025.
