Spirit Halloween, the seasonal store offering Halloween costumes, animatronics and eerie decorations, opened in Fayetteville on Aug. 2 in the former Toys 'R' Us location, kicking off the spooky season early this August.

The store at 1736 Skibo Road is the only Spirit Halloween location in the Fayetteville area, according to the company's website.

Here’s what you need to know about Spirit Halloween before browsing the aisles of costumes, ghostly accessories and chilling decor.

How long will Spirit Halloween stay open?

Spirit Halloween stores typically stay open until the second week of November, according to the company's guest relations representative.

What are some other places to purchase Halloween costumes?

While Spirit Halloween typically operates for just a few months each year, Party City at 2065-4 Skibo Road, offers Halloween gear year-round at its Fayetteville location.

    What is Spirit Halloween?

Spirit Halloween is a pop-up Halloween store, with more than 1,500 stores in shopping centers and malls across the U.S. Although the physical stores will eventually close, the Spirit Halloween website is available throughout the year.
