Farm Bureau, Oldcastle Tops In Kiwanis Tourney

The Ken Earl Kiwanis Memorial Scholarship 3 Club Challenge was held on Aug. 15 at Link Hills Country Club.

In the first flight, the first place team was Farm Bureau Insurance with a score of 56. In the second flight, the first place team was Oldcastle Glass with a 64.

This was the second year of the tournament and the first for the 3 Club Challenge. While the play was competitive, it proved challenging with a 3 club limit.

A fourth club was available for $20, which several golfers opted to take. The question heard most often at the end of the tournament was, "Why do I carry all those clubs anyway?"

The event will return to Link Hills in August of 2025. More details will be available in the near future.

The Kiwanis Club of Greeneville is grateful to sponsors and teams that made the event a success while raising money for scholarships for Greene County students.
