AUSTIN, Texas — Police have charged two suspects in connection with the fatal shooting at a northeast Austin Waffle House last month. Online records show Irving Antunez, 18, is in custody at the Travis County Jail, charged with murder and held on a $750,000 bond. AUSTIN, Texas — A fatal collision on Research Boulevard early Thursday morning left one man dead and another facing DWI charges, according to the Austin Police Department. The incident occurred at approximately 1:09 a.m. on July 4, 2024, in the 11800 block of Research Boulevard NB. A blue SUV stalled in a lane of traffic was struck from behind by a gray SUV. The passenger of the blue SUV, an Asian male, was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. The driver of the gray SUV, 54-year-old Calory Wabusia, sustained minor injuries and was later arrested for DWI.
