OKLAHOMA CITY The Oklahoma City Zoo and Botanical Garden will host its 41st annual Haunt the Zoo event, presented by Oklahoma’s Own News 9, from October 5 to 27.

This popular Halloween tradition offers families a festive and safe trick-or-treating experience surrounded by the Zoo’s animal exhibits. The event runs on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Participants can collect treats along the Haunt the Zoo trail, adorned with themed decorations, photo booths and pumpkins. Trick-or-treating requires a general Zoo admission or ZOOfriends membership, plus an official Haunt the Zoo treat bag, available for $8 each or $7 for members. Tickets and treat bags must be purchased in advance at www.okczoo.org/htz .

Volunteers are needed to help with candy distribution and event support. Interested individuals or groups can sign up at www.okczoo.org/volunteers-for-special-events . Additionally, guests who bring a pumpkin larger than their head to the Zoo from September 28 to October 4 will receive half-off admission.

For more details on the event, ticket purchases, and volunteer opportunities, visit the OKC Zoo’s website.
