OKLAHOMA CITY As students and teachers prepare for the upcoming school year, OG&E has successfully completed its School Supplies Giveaway Drive, benefiting 13 school districts across its service area with a $2,500 check.

In addition to financial contributions from the OGE Energy Corp. Foundation, OG&E employees collected and delivered school supplies to ensure students have the tools needed for success.

"By investing in education, we invest in the future," said Kelli Hayward Walsh, OG&E manager of community outreach & engagement. "These funds will equip students with essential supplies, fostering an environment where learning thrives."

OG&E representatives personally delivered the checks and supplies to teachers, celebrating the strong partnerships between the company and local communities. Donations were made to schools in districts including Bristow, Fort Smith, Poteau, Shawnee and Warner.

Scott Kempenich, superintendent of Poteau Public Schools, expressed his gratitude: “Your donations will make life a little easier for many students, their families and teachers.”

OG&E remains devoted to energizing future generations through investments and partnerships via the OGE Energy Corp. Foundation, which supports scholarships, classroom projects and teacher resources across its service area.
