A Powerball ticket sold in Iowa won $1 million and narrowly missed the $174 million jackpot, lottery officials say.

The tickets matched five winning numbers but not the Powerball in the drawing Monday, Aug. 5, according to the national Powerball site.

Nobody won the grand prize, which rises to an estimated $185 million, with a cash value of $92.1 million, for the next drawing Wednesday, Aug. 7.

The winning numbers were 29, 42, 44, 51 and 54, with a Powerball of 12, the Iowa Lottery said. The Power Play was 2.

Nearly 335,000 other Powerball tickets sold in the United States also won prizes ranging from $4 to $100,000, the national site said.

The Powerball jackpot has gone unclaimed since July 3, when an Ohio player hit the $139.3 million grand prize, lottery officials said.

To score a jackpot in the Powerball , a player must match all five white balls and the red Powerball.

Tickets can be bought on the day of the drawing, but sales times and price vary by state.
