Jackson Mahomes makes rare live appearance on TikTok. Fans: ‘Tell Brittany I love her!’

For someone who has more than 1 million followers on TikTok , Jackson Mahomes seemed shocked that so many people watched him make a rare live appearance there late Wednesday night.

But it only took a couple of minutes for hundreds to find his livestream and tell him, as one fan did, “miss seeing you at the Chiefs games.”

The younger brother of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has long been a prolific presence on the sidelines and at games.

Last season he was photographed with the team’s newest and most famous fan, Taylor Swift, who is dating Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

But he was relatively low-key on social media last season in the backlash from a high-profile, alleged sexual battery incident involving a female Overland Park restaurant owner in February 2023.

As his famous brother begins chasing a Super Bowl three-peat, Mahomes is finishing six months of unsupervised probation after pleading no contest in March to a lesser misdemeanor battery charge.

“Jackson is thankful for the support of his family and friends during the last year . Jackson pled no contest to a single count of simple battery and he was given six months of unsupervised probation,” Brandan Davies, his attorney, told multiple news outlets in a statement in March.

“Jackson simply wanted the case to be over with and to move on with his life, the matter is now closed and we will not be issuing any further statements.”

At some point over the last year Mahomes changed his TikTok profile to read: “Sup I get Bullied a lot but I’m still here.”

Some of that brow-beating came from Swift fans who were vocal on social media that they didn’t like seeing her with him given his legal problems.

But on Wednesday, his followers were excited to talk to him, if only through a fast-moving TikTok chat.

He wore a green New York Yankees hat, lounging on his bed with his dog, a curly-haired mini Goldendoodle named Calvin.

He seemed surprised that so many people were still on TikTok shortly before midnight, obviously unaware of the platform’s after-dark activity.

One fan asked the Texas native if he likes living in Kansas City and he said yes. He called KC “chillin’” but said he might want to move “back to Dallas.”

He disappeared briefly then returned to do a TikTok battle with a young woman in Miami. “I’m new to this whole live,” Mahomes told her as they competed for rewards from followers.

The chat got lively as fans watched him learn his way around, told him they can’t wait to see him back on TikTok and sent well wishes to his sister-in-law Brittany Mahomes, who is pregnant with her third child.

“King Jackson.”

“Jackson Mahomes is king.”

“How’s Brittany Mahomes in person? Like her personality ... I love her!!”

“Tell Brittany I love her!!”

“What will be the biggest game of the year?”

“Super Bowl bound baby! Let’s go!”
