LaGrange Piano to present “Singin’ in the Rain, Jr.”

The Homeschool Teen Drama Club from LaGrange Piano is set to present the musical “Singin’ in the Rain, Jr.”

The teen musical will be performed Thursday, April 18 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, April 20 at 2 p.m.

The musical is set in Hollywood as the silent movie era ends and “talkies” enter the scene, and follows the adventures of movie stars Don Lockwood and Lina Lamont as they struggle to hang on to their careers as the industry changes around them.

The musical features the classic songs  “Good Morning,” “Singin’ in the Rain,” and “Lucky Star.” The cast is comprised of 20 homeschool students ages 12-17 from LaGrange, West Point, Pine Mountain, and Roanoke.

Performances will be held at Franklin Road Baptist Church, 1424 New Franklin Road in LaGrange.
