LIMA — A homeless man recently pleaded not guilty in Allen County Common Pleas Court on charges of aggravated robbery and felonious assault.

The charges originated from an incident June 27 when officers were dispatched to the area of McKibben Street and Elizabeth Street due to a man with a stab wound. The man allegedly was assaulted by Rashad Roberson with a knife when Roberson tried to steal the man’s cell phones.

Two people witnessed the incident and saw the knife in Roberson’s hand. Roberson later admitted to the incident.

Roberson is currently being held in the Allen County Jail on a $200,000 cash bond.
