The Annual Tradition of Santa Sunday Was Held This Weekend at Sunday River Ski Resort

Everyone knows Santa has a very busy calendar this time of the year, but Santa made sure to take some time out of his busy schedule to hit the slopes in Maine this weekend. On Sunday, December 10, 2023, at the Sunday River Ski Resort in Newry, Maine, the ski slopes were filled with over 250 Santa's for the annual Santa Sunday event. Just like in previous years, the Grinch even showed up to join in the fun.

The annual event, which has been held for 20 years, is a fundraiser for the River Fund Maine, which is a non-profit organization that supports youth education and recreation in the Bethel area. The River Fund Maine was founded in 2018 and grants college scholarships, funds educational workshops, and supports needs in the community.

The event is very popular, and registration fills up rather quickly. This year, Santa Sunday raised $8,000 for the River Fund.
