According to Maine Department of Public Safety Public Information Officer Shannon Moss, the Maine State Police responded to a single-vehicle crash on Long Ridge Road in Burlington on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, around 5:48 p.m.

Witnesses reported they observed the vehicle, a 2016 red Chevrolet Equinox coming from Lincoln with two blown tires, right before the crash. The witnesses observed the vehicle hitting a curb in Lincoln and then continuing to drive towards Burlington.

When the Maine State Troopers responded to the crash, they found the vehicle had rolled and was resting on its side in the woods. Both passenger side tires were blown.

Jennifer Harriman, 48, of Burlington, was operating the vehicle. Inside the vehicle were three children: an 8-year-old and two 1-year-olds. Harriman was transported by ambulance to Eastern Maine Medical Center. Life Flight transported one of the one-year-olds to Eastern Maine Medical Center. The other one-year-old and 8-year-old were transported by ambulance to Penobscot Valley Hospital. All the occupants suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The crash and the circumstances leading up to the crash remain under investigation.

The Maine Warden Service, Howland Fire Department, Lincoln Fire Department, and Life Flight assisted the Maine State Police with the crash.
