Welcome to your one-stop Daily News high school football coverage stop. The action will come in fast and furious once practice begins on Friday, August 16 , so we've gathered all of our coverage on this helpful page.
It will be updated throughout the season with our preseason stories, games of the week, player of the week polls, game coverage and features.
Games are set to kick off starting Thursday, Sept. 5 , with a full slate that Friday. The action doesn't stop for the next 13 weeks leading up to the Thanksgiving extravaganza and Super Bowls.
The regular season ends Sunday, November 3, also when the playoff brackets will release. Teams that don't qualify for the postseason or lose in the first round will enter the non-playoff pool and face similar opponents leading up to Turkey Day.
Two area teams advanced to the state semifinals in 2023: Milford (Division 3) and Hudson (Division 6).
