Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are finalizing their divorce, according to reports .
The Hollywood couple have not been seen together in months amid ongoing speculation they've decided to part ways. Ben added fire to the rumors when he purchased a new $20.5million home , which has been dubbed a 'bachelor pad', on J-Lo's birthday.
She also recently celebrated her birthday in the Hamptons, without her husband. There had been reports the couple were giving their marriage one last try , but friends of the couple have claimed they are now getting a divorce.

The couple's divorce documents "are finalized, but not yet turned in", a source told the Daily Mail . They added: "They finalized the divorce papers with her a month ago, but are waiting for the right time to drop them.
"At that time, they will release a joint statement that will say how they have much love for each other and how they fought to make it work, but couldn't." Another source claimed: "Honestly, in the end they could not come to a compromise. What they had before is gone and they have both accepted it."
When Ben bought his new bachelor pad earlier this month, it's believed to have been a "stab to the heart" for Jennifer. At the time, a source told RadarOnline : "Ben’s decision to move into his own home is the final insult.

"JLO had been holding onto hope that there could be a reconciliation if they were to spend some time apart, but this is like a stab in the heart." Ben's new home has five bedrooms and six bathrooms, as well as a separate family room, den, walk-in closets, media room and guest house.
The actor had been living in a $100,000 monthly rental, while Jennifer stayed in their home amid the split rumors. Ben's close friend Kevin Smith recently opened up about his pal's marriage and admitted the Gone Girl star is "going through" something.
Speaking to People , he said: "Obviously, he's been going through a thing, or at least that's what it says in the press and whatnot. I, being his least trustworthy friend who's very loose-lipped... My wife was like, ‘Oh, you should reach out to him.' I was like, ‘The last person he needs to hear from right now is the guy who chats a lot.' So when he's in a good place, he'll let me know."
