Aaron Rodgers continues to show the New York Jets that he's all in and as motivated as ever to win in the 2024 season after pushing back when coaches refused to let him take part in joint practice with the Washington Commanders.

In difficult conditions at the Jets practice facility on Thursday with rain coming down throughout the morning, head coach Robert Saleh told reporters that he made the decision to sit Rodgers from the joint practice. But when he told the legendary quarterback, Rodgers disagreed and was determined to take part.

Ultimately, the coaching staff got their wish and kept their quarterback out of harm's way. However, he continues to demonstrate his determination ahead of the new season.

Rodgers has been seen active and animated in recent days, with him being irate at teammates through training camp with both wide receiver Garrett Wilson and center Joe Tippmann.

Rodgers appears to be looking to do all he can to be available for his team this year after suffering a season-ending Achilles tendon tear in his Jets debut in 2023. His heartbreaking injury came with much optimism around the team after his arrival from the Green Bay Packers.

Rodgers' injury would be too much for the Jets to overcome, going on to have a losing season which once again forced changes in the offseason - which mainly involved improving their offensive line and improving their wide receiver core to give the quarterback the best chance to compete for a Super Bowl.

Throughout the past two weeks, there does appear to be an air of optimism that remains around their camp , with the Jets seen as playoff contenders despite being in a loaded AFC class.

Saleh's team will face a tough schedule in the upcoming season, but their improvements to their offensive unit - along with a healthy Rodgers - has made them the fifth-favorites to win the AFC and advance to the Super Bowl.

While under contract for two more years, Rodgers has already acknowledged that 2024 could indeed be the final year of his career - looking to add another Lombardi trophy after winning his first with the Packers 15 years ago.

Rodgers has only played in one Super Bowl in his career - winning against the Pittsburgh Steelers - being six behind his former rival Tom Brady and one behind Peyton Manning.
