Taylor Swift 's backup dancers are currently on lockdown in Vienna.
The news comes after a terror plot was foiled by authorities after U.S. intelligence indicated that individuals planned to attack the Eras tour date in Vienna. After the stint of shows in the city was cancelled, the pop star was not seen, presumably being put under special security precautions.
As for her team, a fan claimed that they, too, are taking safety measures. The Swiftie claimed to meet Sam Mcwilliams' mother after spotting her on the train. Sam is a dancer on the Eras Tour. The fan wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter : "She was soo sweet. They are all on lockdown but doing okay. She’s been showing him videos of everything going on in the city!"

The fan further explained that more than just the show was shut down. Taylor's merch tents, which typically open ahead of and during the concerts to allot for extra traffic, are "already packed up." She added: "So that’s just another thing I was looking forward to that isn’t happening. I’m just so sad."
A source close to Taylor previously told The Mirror : "Taylor has been devastated by this. She is devastated for the fans who have been waiting for years to see her. But the thought of what could have happened if the concerts had been targeted by a terror attack is horrifying, and she would never risk the safety of her fans."
As for Taylor's location, no one has been advised on her exact whereabouts, but one Taylor jet tracking account, tswizzlejets, shut down their operations upon hearing the news. They wrote on Threads: "For safety concerns I'm not posting Taylor's flights for the rest of the Europe leg. I hope everyone understands."
In early 2024, a different account popped up which tracked Taylor's jets, but it was met with a lot of backlash. The creator, Jack Sweeney , claimed he was focused on transparency and tracking carbon emissions. However, Taylor's team said his efforts to alert the public of her locations were a security concern. His account appears to have been taken down at some point, but others popped up in its place.
Her next shows are slated of London at Wembley Stadium. The mayor of the city confirmed that they are planning on moving forward with the concerts as scheduled, but there has been no official word from Taylor or her team. Some reports indicated that there is expected to be increased security measures at the venue.
