Adele confirms engagement to sports agent Rich Paul with key signal

Grammy-award winner Adele confirmed that she is engaged to sports agent, Rich Paul.

She made the announcement at one of her shows in Munich , Germany when a fan asked if she would marry them. While wearing a black gown with her hair styled down, she held up her hand, showing off her ring finger that had an engagement ring on it.

Adele told the fan: "Will you marry me? I can’t marry you because I’m already getting married so I can’t." The singer and sports agent went public with their relationship in 2021 after many suspected the two were dating.

After going public in 2021, the couple kept their relationship largely out of the spotlight. They have however been spotted sitting courtside at Crypto.com arena in Los Angeles, California, supporting Rich's best friend and client, LeBron James. The two sparked engagement rumors in 2022 when the singer was spotted wearing an a diamond ring on her ring finger at the 2022 BRIT Awards.

She spoke out and admitted that she was not engaged but "just in love!". The Someone Like You singer revealed this was the happiest she will ever be.

Adele also opened up to Oprah Winfrey in 2021 about Rich and their relationship. Adele told Oprah that Rich was "hilarious, funny and very smart. Very, very smart. It's quite incredible watching him do what he does and just the easiness of it and very smooth."

She said: "I met him at a birthday party, we were on the dance floor and then we met a couple years later. We went out for dinner, which he says was a business meeting and I'm like ‘A business meeting about what?' And then it was the first time we hung out on our own."

In May, the Hello singer revealed that she was open to expanding her family one day. Adele shares an 11-year-old son, Angelo, with ex-husband Simon Konecki. Rich also has three kids: Reonna, Richie and Zane.

She said at one of her shows: "Once I'm done with all of my obligations and all of my shows, I want to have a baby. And I want to have a girl because I've already got a boy."
