MrBeast 's ex-girlfriend, Maddy Spidell, has reportedly published some cryptic posts on Instagram appearing to address her "weird" ex-boyfriend amid recent negative headlines about the YouTuber.

She reportedly shared messages to her Instagram Stories and started off with a message toward YouTube urging the video platform to “reevaluate who you’re putting on the trending page.” She then spoke about a time in her early adult life when she dated someone famous that made it hard to "trust men," but didn't name any names.

"I've spent years... YEARS being quiet, never acknowledging that time in my life, just quietly cheering on those who I saw mistreated. Don't want drama, I don't want anything, just want to speak up for my 19-year-old self," she wrote. "19-21 are formative years, and as a young woman, it impacted the way I saw myself, the way I interpreted my future and how I trusted men."

"There was no user manual, there were no instructions on how to deal with gaining a following quickly, no cheat sheet on dating someone famous," she continued. "I did the best I could, but I was not okay, months of therapy, so many journal entries, long talks with my mom, why do I still feel like it was all for nothing?"

Maddy wrote that she thinks she should be used as a cautionary tale for other young women, saying that if something feels "too good to be true, it probably is." She added a call for women to protect each other and to speak up if they see something or someone behaving out of line.

"How he treats other women will ultimately be how he treats you, you are smart, beautiful and capable of a career, life and relationship you are proud of," she added. "I do not aim to take anyone down, just simply and explicitly tell you that there are scary people out there, people will hurt you, [use] you, spit you out, and then tell you it's your fault."

In response, fans took to social media to react to her posts, with one fan writing: "She says 'if you see something not cool, speak up' As she says a page full of nothing."

She then took to X (formerly Twitter) to address the people criticizing her Instagram statements for being "vague" in nature and not mentioning anyone's names.

“Three years away from that weirdo, my skin is clear, my relationships and friendships are flourishing, I’m frolicking in a field,” she wrote. “‘She’s so vague,’ ‘She said nothing.’ From the looks of it, I don’t need to. Not putting myself through that s--t again, but thanks!”

Maddy and the Internet personality began dating in 2019 and called it quits in 2022. Her recent comments were shared as MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, has recently found himself under fire due to his former collaborator, Ava Kris Tyson, who was accused of allegedly "spending years communicating with the fan on public online forums" before meeting in-person when the teen turned 16 years old (a claim both Tyson and the alleged victim denied). MrBeast was also hit with another report alleging unsafe work conditions for one of his shows. There have also been accusations of racism against the YouTuber after old videos resurfaced.
