Elvis Presley 's stepbrother cleared some things up about the iconic performer.

David is the youngest stepbrother of the late singer . His mother Dee Stanley married Elvis' dad Vernon Presley until their divorce in 1977. He also had two other brothers: Billy and Ricky Stanley.

Elvis love of food has been well documented. Some of the food that have been claimed to be his favorites are peanut butter and banana sandwiches, bacon as well as cheeseburgers. Mary Jenkin's, his cook at Graceland for over a decade said in The Burger and The Kind documentary that Elvis said "the only thing in life he got any enjoyment out of was eating.”

David stated that the star did not have a go to meal or drink before he got ready for a show. He reiterated his stepbrother's love of food: "He liked a variety of things - he really liked food! He often would have a steak, or a burger and sometimes he would like Italian food, but it always was from the hotel. He also liked to have chicken noodle soup or chilli before a show to warm his throat."

The former bodyguard also shared a pre-show ritual Elvis would do. There's been plenty of rumors about his pre-show rituals including the Love Me Tender actor ordering his trailer to be parked 1000 yards from where he performed so he could get his head in the game on the half mile walk.

"Before a show Elvis would step away from the group to go into the bathroom and use a nasal douche. This would clear his throat and would help alleviate his concerns about getting 'Vegas throat' before or during a show," said David.

Elvis performed two shows a night, seven days a week during his residency at Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino in July 1969, making entertainment history at the former International Hotel. David talked about how while there hasn't been any confirmed ghost sightings of his brother, he shared that he " often feel my brother’s presence and have had a few experiences where I’ve believed Elvis was communicating with me."

Lastly, David highlighted two different facts that would surprised people to know about the Mississippi native which included; his natural musicality and fear of flying.

"One thing that both surprised and impressed me was that Elvis didn’t read music, but he was a phenomenal musician. He played guitar, piano, drums, bass - he could pick up just about any instrument and play almost anything. He was just a natural musician. He even produced a number of his own records. The same was true for his acting," David disclosed.

"Another surprising fact was that Elvis didn’t like to fly. He only started flying when he started touring and would only fly in private jets, eventually purchasing the 'Lisa Marie,' The 68-year-old said.

"When he was doing movies and had to get to Hollywood, he would take a customized double-decker bus from Memphis to LA…and he loved driving for part of the trip. I recall seeing the bus returning through the gates of Graceland and Elvis was often at the wheel," he added.
