Taylor Swift gave Meghan Markle the cold shoulder after she received an invitation to appear on the Duchess' now-canceled podcast, according to reports.
Meghan was spotted at Taylor's concert in Los Angeles last year, where she was seen enjoying herself and dancing to hits like Shake It Off. However, when Meghan personally invited Taylor to be a guest on her Archetypes podcast , the pop star declined and left the Duchess somewhat embarrassed.
The Duchess's podcast, which premiered in August 2022, featured a number of high-profile guests such as Serena Williams , Mariah Carey, and Paris Hilton . Over the span of 12 episodes, Meghan spoke about various stereotypes facing women, but Taylor did not want to participate.

According to the Telegraph , Taylor declined Meghan's offer through her representative. Following its launch, Archetypes quickly climbed to the top of Spotify's charts in the US, Canada, the UK, and Australia.
However, Spotify and Archewell, the Sussexes' production company, later announced in a joint statement that they had "mutually agreed to part ways". Prior to Taylor declining her invitation, Meghan seemed to be thoroughly enjoying herself at the singer's star-studded concert in California.
The mother-of-two attended the star's Eras Tour concert at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on August 8 last year. Meghan made a two-hour trip from her Montecito home for the show, which she attended with her pal Lucy Fraser while Harry was away in Tokyo on business.

Despite rumors of tension between Meghan and Taylor, the singer appeared quite happy when she encountered Prince William at her Eras concert this year. The Prince of Wales was seen enjoying himself at Taylor's Eras Tour performance at Wembley Stadium in June, later enjoying a backstage meet-and-greet with her.
Accompanying William were his kids, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, who snagged a joyful selfie with Taylor and her boyfriend, Travis Kelce. Meanwhile, Meghan hasn't abandoned her podcast aspirations after being axed from Spotify. She has teamed up with Lemonada Media and is looking forward to releasing a new podcast next year.
Earlier this year she announced: "I'm proud to now be able to share that I am joining the brilliant team at Lemonada to continue my love of podcasting. Being able to support a female founded company with a roster of thought provoking and highly entertaining podcasts is a fantastic way to kick off 2024. Our plan to re-release Archetypes so that more people can now have access to it, as well as launching a dynamic new podcast are well in the works. I'm so eager to be able to share it soon, and am overjoyed to be joining the Lemonada family."
