Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have officially kicked off their four-day tour in Colombia , with the Duke of Sussex proudly sporting a necklace that reportedly became a casualty of his feud with his brother, Prince William.

The Royal couple landed in Bogota on Thursday, August 15th, where they were greeted by Vice President Francia Marquez, the first Black woman to hold this position in Colombia, and her husband, Rafael Yerney Pinillo.

Meghan was stylishly dressed in a £598 ($769) Orlinda vest by designer Veronica Beard, while Harry chose a tailored navy suit. Eagle-eyed fans quickly noticed that the prince was wearing the necklace he claimed his brother Prince William had broken during a heated dispute.

In his book Spare, the Duke of Sussex alleged that in 2019, the now Prince of Wales wrestled him to the ground and broke his necklace during a "physical fight". In the book, Harry recounted calling his therapist after the argument and revealed his brother had "knocked me to the floor" while his shirt was "ripped" and the necklace was "broken" following the row which felt "different" to their previous arguments.

He claimed the scuffle erupted after his brother labeled Meghan as "difficult," "rude," and "abrasive" and insisted he was trying to "help" Harry during a meeting. William is reported to have apologized to Harry after the apparent brawl.

In January 2023, Harry graced The Late Show in America and found himself in conversation with host Stephen Colbert about a certain piece of jewelry. The 58-year-old Colbert got right to the point, probing, "There is a lot of talk about the physical fight that the two of you had, where he pushed you down in the kitchen and broke the dog bowl, when you fell on it. It says it broke your necklace. What necklace was it that he broke?"

Without hesitation, Harry responded: "This one. Which is now fixed."

He then hoisted the mended necklace, flaunting its three pendants, for the studio audience. Inquisitive as ever, host Colbert continued, urging Harry to elaborate on the trio of pendants.

The Duke obligingly divulged, illustrating a heartfelt homage to his offspring. Two of the pendants bore cardiogram engravings of Archie and Lilibet, lovingly bestowed upon him by Meghan Markle.

With clarity and affection, he detailed: "It's got my kids' heartbeats, which my wife gave me." Then, noting the third charm, he conveyed: "And then a friend of mine in Botswana made this for me, which has got tiger's eye in the middle."

Frequently spotted adorning Harry's neck over time, this particular accessory garnered speculative whispers that it may have once been a present from former flame Chelsey Davy, with whom Harry was romantically entwined from 2004 to 2010.

Harry and Meghan are expected to have a fully stacked agenda, with sessions on cyberbullying among their key focuses. They'll kick off in Colombia by attending an Insight Session at a local school an event tied to their digital welfare initiatives through the Archewell Foundation.

Moreover, the pair will lead a summit with experts and activists aimed at fostering safer online communities. On Friday, the duo will stick around in Bogota to engage with students on matters of emotional health within education circles. Post-discussion, they're set to be the special guests at a luncheon thrown by Vice President Marquez.

The occasion will also serve as a chance to meet with the Colombian contenders for the Invictus Games, a sports competition Harry established for military personnel who have been injured or fallen ill. September 2023 saw Colombia's debut at the event in Dusseldorf, marking them as the first from South America to join.

This visit represents Harry and Meghan's maiden journey together to Colombia, featuring stops at Cartagena and Cali. The trip comes at the behest of Vice President Marquex, who shared the development on August 1, stating: "I am pleased to announce that Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, have kindly accepted my invitation to visit our beautiful country."

Prince Harry and Meghan's upcoming travel plans have been revealed as they prepare to attend the inaugural World Ministerial Conference on the Elimination of Violence Against Children. Set to take place in Colombia this November, the event aligns with the Archewell Foundation's mission to foster safer digital environments.

Marquez elaborated on the conference's goals, stating, "The conference will present a global framework for creating safer physical and virtual spaces, addressing issues such as cyberbullying, online exploitation, and the impact of these threats on mental health. It will offer practical solutions and commitments for countries around the world. During their visit, the Duke and Duchess, as well as the Archewell Foundation, will take part in a number of activities related to this important topic."
