The Warzone Season 5 Reloaded update is right around the corner, here's when it starts and when you can jump into the new Supreme Resurgence mode.

Despite the release of Black Ops 6 fast approaching, and the preceding Black Ops 6 beta dates, Call of Duty 's perpetual battle royale title continues to get its usual monthly seasonal updates, with Warzone Season 5 Reloaded set to go live this week. Activision is introducing a new Resurgence game mode, new skins and of course, new weapons to try out in Warzone, Warzone Mobile and MW3.

The headline addition for Warzone Season 5 Reloaded is the new Supreme Resurgence mode, which is the same Resurgence we all know and love, but with insane ground loot, with these weapons featuring meta-inspired weapon blueprints and a selection of the coolest camos available. It's not all sunshine and rainbows though, because the price of getting your loadout is significantly increased in this mode (by how much hasn't been confirmed yet), plus the Resurgence timer also takes longer to complete.

New weapons include the Spear melee weapon – which is exactly as described and can be thrown at enemies – as well as the Torque 35 combat bow, which features customisable arrows and a red dot sight. As for new skins, there's a new Diablo 4 -inspired Horseman Leviathan Tracer Pack store pack, as well as a Scumbag Cat Tracer Pack, which features a literal cat skin.

Here's when you can drop into Season 5 Reloaded and try out all the new content.

When is Warzone Season 5 Reloaded release time?

The Warzone Season 5 Reloaded release time is 5pm BST / 12pm EDT / 9am PDT on Wednesday, August 21. We know this for sure as it was confirmed by Activision in a blog post, with big Warzone seasonal content updates typically going live on a Wednesday, and this matches previous updates including the Season 5 release time.

Players on PlayStation and PC (via Battle.net) should be able to preload the Warzone Season 5 Reloaded update now, but players on Xbox or PC (via Steam ) won't be able to preload the update and will instead have to wait until the official release time to start downloading the patch. Sorry, don't shoot the messenger!

The last major seasonal content update to release for the game was Warzone Season 5, with that update coming in at just under 23GB on Xbox, PlayStation and PC, but this update is likely to be a little smaller than that, based on the fact that Season 5 Reloaded is a mid-season update and will likely include less content.
