Michael Jackson's bedroom was a bizarre collection of oddities, including a shrine to babies.

Photographs from the pop star's residence reveal the room where Jackson spent his final moments , littered with drug vials, children's photos, and even a blood-stained shirt in the closet. The book 83 Minutes: The Doctor, the Damage and the Shocking Death of Michael Jackson by authors Mark Langhorne and Matt Richard provides further insight into the singer's Los Angeles mansion.

"Tables were strewn with medical paraphernalia such as vials of drugs, syringes and tubes. Plastic bags scattered on tops of chairs and table tops contained latex gloves, creams and saline bags," the authors detail. They also noted that "various tubes of pills and tablets" were discovered.

A photo of Jackson's room features a wooden dresser with a large white sign hanging from the drawers. An image of a baby wearing a hat is visible in the right corner, while the phrase "sweet baby" is written in red font on the left.

Above this sign, large circular images of babies crowd the top of the furniture piece beneath a grand mirror framed in gold filigree. In a cupboard, a collarless white shirt stained with dried blood hangs on a rail, held up by a white plastic hanger.

Another image reveals a bed draped in white sheets, adorned with a velvet pillow, a pair of glasses, a CD, and a blonde-haired baby doll dressed in a white shirt, brown overalls, and sandals.

Reportedly, an IV stand and a loose needle were also found elsewhere in the room.

Det. Martinez gave a chilling account of the scene, saying: "There was a computer on the bed, there was kind of, like, advertisements of pictures with babies. Everybody knew about the allegations that had been levelled against Mr Jackson over the years. One of the things, when I saw the laptop on the bed: 'Do I go into it? ' But you have to realise the type of case I was investigating."

In the documentary Killing Michael Jackson, Martinez also remarked on the unusual heat in the room, noting there was a fire going during the peak of L. A.'s summer, making the room "very, very hot".

The writers of 83 Minutes detailed the disturbing state of Michael's room, mentioning it "smelled terribly" as the pop icon had forbidden anyone from cleaning it. The King of Pop, Michael Jackson, passed away on June 25, 2009, after Dr Conrad Murray discovered him unconscious in his bed.
