After an incredible 21-year-long run on General Hospital as Sam McCall, it has been leaked that Kelly will no longer be starring on the soap as writers have decided to kill off her character this coming fall. And while Kelly was reportedly "blindsided" by the decision, fans have already planned out her next career move as they urge competing soap The Young and the Restless to scoop her up.

Many fans believe Kelly would be an obvious choice for the soap as she would be the perfect fit to play a new love interest for Jason Thompson’s Billy Abbott. This comes as the pair have previously shared undeniable on-screen chemistry on set of General Hospital. And as they shared a magnetic connection on the soap, viewers predict ratings would skyrocket if they were matched up once again.

In a newly posted X, formerly Twitter, thread fans gushed over the pair's connection and their eagerness to see them paired up once again. One fan wrote: "I hope #YR scoops Kelly up and pairs her with Jason again." And another agreed: "Oh my God, this would be amazing. I love them both. I am so upset with General Hospital."

A third soap fan replied: "Oh!!! I would totally watch YR for that!! I only catch the tail end sometimes before BB comes on." While someone else chimed in: "Wouldn't that be great I was thinking the same thing!!!" While a fourth added: "That might actually be a good pairing!"

Kelly and Jason previously starred together on General Hospital as Jason took on the role of neurosurgeon Dr. Patrick Drake in December of 2005.
