Good Morning America has revealed the star-studded cast of season 33 of Dancing With the Stars from The Bachelorette's Jenn Tran to 90201 star Tori Spelling .
Fans were thrilled as the upcoming celebrity lineup for DWTS was announced ahead of the show's highly anticipated season premiere on September 17. Dancing With the Stars is the popular dance competition television series that pairs celebrities with professional ballroom dancers to compete in themed choreographed routines.
It was revealed on Wednesday morning that NFL player Dwight Howard, The Bachelorette's Jenn Tran , The Bachelor's Joey Graziadei , 90201 star Tori Spelling, The Traitors star Phaedra Parks , Inventing Anna star Anna Delvey, Family Matters star Reginald VelJohnson, former NFL star Danny Amendola, Olympic rugby medalist Ilona Maher, Disney star Chandler Kinney, Actor Eric Roberts, former Sports Illustrated model Brooks Nader, and gymnast Stephen Nedoroscik.
It was previously revealed that Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough will once again return as the beloved co-hosts of the show. As for the judges panel, it was confirmed that long-time dancing experts Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Derek Hough will be returning to the table.
After a gut wrenching season finale of The Bachelorette where Jen tearfully admitted that her engagement with Devin Strader was called off, the 26-year-old reality star is now embarking on a brand new adventure. The day after the finale aired, Jen took to GMA and announced that she will be one of the newest contestants of Dancing With the Stars.
Speaking on her upcoming apperance on the show, Jen said: "I have always always wanted to learn to dance. This is kind of like a dream come true honestly," she went on to joke: "I took one ballroom class in college and got credit for it - that counts right?"
On GMA, Los Angeles Lakers player Dwight was revealed as one of the celebrity athletes that will be taking on the ballroom. The eight-time All-Star and three-time Defensive Player of the Year player is now ready to take on a new challenge as he learns how to ballroom dance for the first time ever.
Speaking on his upcoming apperance on the show, Dwight said: "I think I'm just gonna go out there and just have as much fun as possible," and added: "I have been dancing my whole life but not ballroom dancing. This will be my first time doing it. I'm so thankful I have this opportunity. God, thank you very much. This is amazing."
The first celebrity contestant announced for this years' competition was Olympics medalist Stephen Nedoroscik. Stephen is a talented gymnast and this year brought home an impressive two bronze medals at the 2024 Paris Summer Olympic Games. Stephen will be the first male gymnast to ever compete for the Mirrorball Trophy and is looking forward to bringing some flare to the show.
When asked if he's planning to bring gymnastics moves to the dance floor, Stephen said: "I'm hoping to bring some of them. I want to do some flares, I want to bring some of that gymnastics, maybe a back flips or a hand stand. I want to have fun with it."
As for professional dancers this year, Witney Carson has revealed via social media in August that she will be returning to the ballroom. GLAAD later announced that troupe member Ezra Sosa will also be paired up with a celebrity as a pro.
This comes as last year many famous faces took to the ballroom including Vanderpump Rules star Ariana Madix, The Bachelorette star Charity Lawson, Britney Spears' younger sister Jamie Lynn Spears, How I Met Your Mother actress Alyson Hannigan, and many more.
After a cut-throat competition spanning over many weeks, former Avengers actress Xochitl Gomez brought home the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy in 2023. During last December's spirited three-hour-long season finale, the 17-year-old was in disbelief as she crowned the winner of the prestigious trophy along with her professional dancing partner Val Chmerkovskiy.
