He may be the next big thing on the tennis scene, and as he continues to come out on top at the US Open, Jack Draper, has seen a windfall of huge prize money, amassing a net worth of $3million (£2.5m) following a breakout 2024 season.

The first British male to reach the US Open quarter finals since 2016, he is currently ranked as the UK's number one. The talented 22-year-old, has gone from strength to strength despite a spate of early career injuries.

    But, who is Draper?

Draper has earned $2,914,754 (£2,221,086.27) in prize money over his six-year career, but this came before his surprising successes at this year's US Open, according to Salary Sport . He won his first - and currently only - ATP title at the 2024 BOSS Open in Stuttgart, where he triumphed over Matteo Berrettini in the final, securing his position as the British men's number one, reports the Mirror.

This huge win, along with his five other ATP Challenger Tour wins, has helped him grow a huge net worth of s$3m (£2.5m), as reported by Tatler. Combining his prize money from ATP Tour tournaments and Grand Slams, Draper earned $882K (£672K) in 2022 and $684K (£521K) in 2023.

Jack's father Roger is also a notable figure in the sports scene. Roger Draper was the chief executive of Sport England from 2003 to 2006, before filling the same role at the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) between 2006 and 2013, and later at Warrington Wolves, a professional rugby league club, from 2015 to 2017.

While at the helm of the LTA, Roger launched 'Blueprint, a Strategy for British Tennis', an ambitious plan aimed at transforming the sport's governing body into a more effective organization. Draper Sr, now 54, played a key role in increasing British Tennis memberships by a staggering 500% and also introduced mini tennis courses to encourage more people to take up the historic sport.

Young star Draper was born on December 22, 2001, in Sutton, England, just outside of London, and spent his childhood in Ashtead, Surrey. He attended Parkside School in Stoke d'Abernon, Cobham, before moving on to Reed's School in the same town.

The son of Roger and Nicky Draper, his mother is a former junior British tennis champion while his brother Ben was a tennis student athlete at the University of California.

Draper recently moved out of his family home and moved in with fellow British tennis talent Paul Jubb. According to Tatler , the duo enjoy living together despite the "odd" domestic hiccup.

Jubb, aged 23, also has an impressive track record in ATP Challenger and ITF Futures/World Tennis Tour finals, securing nine victories against just two defeats.

One of the biggest strengths Draper is able to play to on the court is his height. Standing at 1.93m (6ft 4in), Jack Draper has one inch on British tennis legend Andy Murray who is1.91m (6ft 3in). Draper is taller than current Wimbledon champ Carlos Alcaraz, who stands at 1.85m (6ft 1in) tall.

Draper is also identifiable by a unique style of play. Despite being naturally right-handed, he wields his racket with his left hand and dominates play with a powerful two-handed backhand.
