Royal Family 'calls Prince Harry's bluff' by ignoring his demands for an apology

Prince William and the rest of the Royal Family are reportedly brushing off Prince Harry's demands for an apology , says a Royal expert.

The Mirror has disclosed that insiders have claimed that Harry won't rejoin the Royal ranks unless he receives an apology from his estranged brother. Those close to Harry suggest he is focused on "making a success of his life" in America and stands by his decision to step away from his Royal duties.

However, it seems he would be open to assuming a temporary role within the family to "help out" if King Charles were to request it. But as Harry - who celebrates his 40th birthday next week - would still seek an apology from his feuding brother if he were to represent the family in any way.

Yet, according to Rebecca English, the Royal editor for the Daily Mail, The Firm has "called his bluff" by choosing to stay silent. Discussing Harry on the latest episode of Palace Confidential, she stated: "As regards to the apology, what I think this boils down to is the Royal Family have called his bluff."

"They haven't reacted to any of his demands or his threats, either publicly or privately, I mean they, pretty much, have ignored the fact that Spare had been published."

She expressed her belief that maintaining silence is the "right approach" in response to Harry and his numerous allegations and claims.

She further stated: "It's like don't listen, don't make a fuss, don't give into it, just let it through [and] it'll blow away and harmony will restore itself."

Harry, aged 39, criticized close family members in his book. The brothers, William and Harry, have not communicated for months and currently maintain no contact, choosing to remain distant even when they were in the same room last month at their uncle Lord Fellowes' funeral in Norfolk.

Over the weekend, reports suggested that Harry had reached out to a group of former trusted advisors as well as old friends to draft a "blueprint" detailing how he might start re-engaging with UK circles again.

However, The Mirror understands that this is "far from his mind" and any interaction with former aides would be "purely for strategic and friendly advice", rather than any scheme to return to the Royal circle.

Insiders close to Harry say that given the Royal family's situation this year, with both the King and Princess of Wales having to take extended breaks from duties due to cancer treatment, the Duke remains ready and willing to help if needed. Harry's friends also say he is determined to mend his relationship with his father, especially considering his recent health issues.
