    Fashion expert says shows like Bridgerton will inspire 2024 Fall New York Fashion Week style

    From bold colors to fun patterns, we've got the scoop on what to expect for New York Fashion Week .

    Juanita, a Fashion Expert & Strategist for Dona Jo , told The Mirror that "designs are bound to leave us feeling inspired about updating our wardrobes." The guru works with celebrities like Nicki Minaj, Selena Gomez and Kimora Lee Simmons and she's led the development of Bloomingdale’s AQUA swimwear line. She's now lending her expertise as to what will likely being making it to the runway at the Fall showcase.

    For women, she's expecting to see light yellow become all the rage, especially isnce it was the top related search on Google trends for the year. Juanita said: "I think it's safe to say that we will see more of this color at the shows. The gentle femininity of this butter-like pastel is fitting with the trend of popular TV shows such as Bridgerton has revived the romantic, cottage-core nostalgia. Therefore, it is only natural to expect this color to maintain its presence next season."

    As for what to expect from styles, she's predicting a comeback of the bubble hem as inspired by the 80s and 90s. However, she's thinking it will stay more "casual," but also invoice a "playful interpretation of this voluminous silhouette." Additionally, keep an eye out for a tailored vest or two which is identified by its "elongated lengths, twists on necklines, retro silhouettes, and unexpected design construction."

    However, fashion week isn't only for women and there are some trends that Juanita thinks we'll be seeing across genders, including a cheeky pattern. She noted: "Since checks dominated the Paris shows in June, I predict we will see more of this trend on the NY catwalk. We will see them in both relaxed looks and fashion-forward styles."

    As for colors, she's thinking tonals are totally in, pointing towards "vibrant shades to calming pastels, to timeless neutrals." She expects designers to embrace more monochromatic looks and dress their models "head-to-toe" in tonals. Expect to see "this trend create visually impactful outfits."

    As for fabrics, Juanita is calling on good old reliable to make an appearance. She looked back at Paris Fashion Week where daring denims were all the rage. Juanita predicts that designers will only be come more "elaborate" with their takes on denim. She said: "I think designers will push the envelope to create innovative interpretations, using denim on unexpected silhouettes. They’ll’ create stand-out pieces that effortlessly combine style and attitude that bring a modern allure to normally basic fabric."
