Selling Sunset 's Amanda Lynn is caught up in a scandal involving racist tweets , as the cast of the popular Netflix series grapple with their most intense feud yet over allegations of a clandestine affair.

A viral TikTok video exposed Amanda, a real estate agent who is joining the show this season as a friend of Bre Tiesi, and has already stirred up drama with Chelsea Lazkani . Amanda appears to have retweeted a string of comments on Twitter containing the n-word. The old posts, unearthed by social media sleuths, have left fans of the show shocked, with some even urging viewers to boycott Selling Sunset due to the controversy.

TikTok user @stephwithdadeets posted the video which included screenshots of several tweets, published by Amanda in 2012 and 2013.

Two of the posts featured a quote from another Twitter user who used the offensive word, and the TikTok user explained that she was sent the old tweets when it was revealed Amanda was joining the show.

"The newbie is Amanda Lynn. She's also a real estate agent and she also has a racist past," she started.

"From the season eight trailer, it looks like Amanda Lynn is the one who spills the beans to Bre about Chelsea's husband. Someone sent me these old tweets that are from Amanda Lynn. And Amanda Lynn has used the n-word multiple times," she revealed. Chelsea even shared the video again, promising her fans she would be revealing "the truth" this season.

"I'll tell you all the truth about the cast this season so you can make a decision on who to support," the 31 year old vented.

"Most of you have been blind for so long and I'm sorry I didn't before. I wanted to keep the peace to avoid being bashed or seen as jealous. But really and truly WHY would I need to be jealous of anyone let alone women who do not look like me. I am my own mirror in the office and I've held my own since DAY 1. I fear no b----," Chelsea shot back.

Amanda broke her silence and addressed the tweets, calling them a "brief lapse in judgement" and "regretted" it. Her representative told Daily Mail : "The tweets in question, made over a decade ago, were a brief lapse in judgment and do not reflect Amanda Lynn's beliefs or values. She regrets the mistake, has learned from it, and is not racist."

The racism scandal is another setback for Selling Sunset fans, following another drama that threatened to derail the popular Netflix show. Chrishell Stause, 43, and Chelsea jumped to the defence of fellow cast member Emma Hernan, accusing Done and Done Productions, which produces Selling Sunset, of "spreading lies for views".

The explosive fallout started when early screenings of the show revealed Nicole Young had spread a rumor that Emma, 33, had an affair with a married man. Chrishell and Chelsea labelled the accusations as "disgusting" and "categorically false", and said Emma had been left "blindsided" by the rumor.

Mirror Online has contacted Amanda's representatives for a statement.
