Amanda Balionis is enjoying her break from golf by hiking and taking the time to explore the great outdoors.

After a hectic season with CBS covering the PGA Tour, with rumors circulating that she and star Rory McIlroy had a romance amid his divorce from Erica Stoll, Balionis is stepping away from golf to pursue sideline reporter during the NFL season. As she resets her headspace to prepare for the season, Balionis has been enjoying nature as a way to prepare.

Recently, Balionis posted her exploits on her social media platforms , showcasing what she was doing and admitted that hiking took a lot out of her. In a series of photos on her Instagram story, the 39-year-old showed her fans that hiking was not for the faint of heart .

In one of the photos, which shows concrete stairs in a wooded area next to a sign warning hikers of what lies ahead, Balionis wrote: "no better way to see new parts of the world than by getting your --- kicked by it #grousegrind."

Balionis' next post jokingly highlighted whether her decision to hike up the mountain was advisable. "wondering at this point if mistakes were made," she wrote with a laughing emoji. Despite questioning why she decided to hike the mountain, she posted a selfie of her in front of a signboard with signs saying "I survived the grind" captioned "Done" with a check mark.

To conclude her journey, Balionis posted a photo of her holding a drink in front of the Vancouver view. "Vancouver you're amazing and I can't wait to come back," she wrote with a heart eyes emoji.

Balionis' journey up Grouse Mountain in Vancouver is just the latest chapter in her life after golf. In mid-August, Balionis wrote that she would be stepping away from the golf course and onto the sideline once the NFL season kicks into gear.

"This year had it all," she began on Instagram. "From historic moments to heart-shattering events and every other emotion you can imagine in between. I love this game. I love working in sports. Competing at the highest level requires and produces constant examples of inspiration, drama, unbridled joy, resilience, growth and teamwork.

"It's an honor to be a very small part of a tremendous team that brings these moments and stories to life each weekend. If we left you with one new favorite player, or one memorable moment you shared with loved ones than we have done our jobs. Catch ya on the NFL sidelines until next season!"
