Ben Affleck’s estranged wife Jennifer Lopez showed up for the premiere of their new film Unstoppable at the Toronto International Film Festival in Canada on Friday, but he didn’t.
Though he produced Unstoppable from his and his bestie Matt Damon’s production company Artists Equity, he skipped out on celebrating the movie’s debut at the festival. Unlike J.Lo, his friend Matt , and Matt’s wife Luciana, they also attended the premiere in addition to Jennifer, the Gone Girl star stayed in Los Angeles, California. Paparazzi caught Ben smiling as he headed into work donning a navy blue suit and sunglasses along with another man who was suited.
Ben seemed to be in a good mood, and didn’t appear to be upset that he wasn’t at the premiere.
A source who’s close to the Oscar-winning actor revealed to People that he was “doing well” amid Jennifer filing for divorce.
"[Ben’s] where he wants to be: close to his kids and in a neighborhood that he loves," the source told the news outlet. "He enjoys working too, and is very focused on the positives."
While Ben was in Los Angeles, the Get Right songstress stunned at the TIFF. The mother of two looked flawless on the red carpet in a Tamara Ralph dress, which she accessorized with Hassanzadeh jewelry. The ensemble was rather revealing as it was a silver embellished outfit that had slits up the entirety of both sides.
Big thick black strings of fabric tied into bows kept the sides of her dress connected so the slits remained in place. Seeable was much side boob and a sliver of her butt could be seen through the spaces between the bows in Jennifer’s attire.
Jennifer proudly stood on her own with Ben, much like she has been doing at red carpet events for the last few months before their split. Rumors of the now-divorced couple having marital woes began brewing in May after Ben didn’t accompany Jennifer to the 2024 Met Gala.
Despite their marital issues, which led to the Monster-in-Law’s actress filing for divorce last month, the two A-listers managed to work on the project together until it was finished. Jen and Ben at one point did have fun while on set.
"What fun, what a joy to do something with her, see her be great, go to work with your wife, go to work with your best friend," Ben told CBS Sunday Mornings, regarding him and Jennifer doing Unstoppable in March 2023. "If you don't like who you're working with, and if you have difficulty or trouble at work, I think it's one of the things that can really cause depression, anxiety and pain for people."
Ben and Jennifer dated in the early aughts from 2002 to 2004, and reconnected in 2021, marrying a year after.
