A heart-stopping video captured the dramatic rescue of eight-month-old Harin Magi in Chennai, on the South Asian nation's east coast. The footage, taken from a resident's balcony, showed the infant sitting on her hands and knees near the edge of the roof cover of a second-floor building. Horrified neighbors could be heard screaming for help as three men attempted to scale a first-floor window to reach the infant.

On the ground floor, a group of people held an open bedsheet to catch the baby in case she fell, with a mattress placed underneath for added safety. Tension mounted as the baby shuffled closer to the edge of the roof cover, her legs dangling in mid-air. A man climbing out of the first-floor window finally reached the child, picked her up, and handed her to another man inside the apartment, all while being supported by two others.
