Seven games tonight, five Friday as Region football season kicks off

The 2024 Monroe County Region football season kicks off tonight.

Two clashes of Region teams – Gibraltar Carlson at Airport and Dundee at Flat Rock – highlight a seven-game slate tonight.

Five more games are slated for Friday, including the season debuts for the Region’s two largest schools, Monroe and Bedford.

Here is the full slate of games:

THURSDAY

Flat Rock 42, Dundee 6 (FINAL)

Erie Mason 6, Flint New Standard 0 (second quarter)

Livonia Churchill 35, New Boston Huron 28 (FINAL)

Summerfield 22, Waterford Our Lady 0 (FINAL)

Whiteford 35, Blissfield 6 (FINAL)

FRIDAY

Jackson at Monroe, 7 p.m.

Canton at Bedford, 7 p.m.

Grosse Ile at Ida, 7 p.m.

Hanover-Horton at Jefferson, 7 p.m.

Ypsilanti Lincoln at Milan, 7 p.m.
