Enjoy updated kitchen, saltwater pool at spacious Vaughn  Meadows home | REAL ESTATE

An updated kitchen, 3,500 square feet of living space and a saltwater pool are features of a four-bedroom home for sale in Montgomery’s Vaughn Meadows.

Vaughn Meadows is located on the west side of Fieldcrest Drive, behind Vaughn Park. The neighborhood is marked by spacious homes and yards, mature trees, and a location near popular schools.

“Vaughn Meadows is full of custom-built homes, no cookie-cutter houses here,” Realtor CJ Hodges said. “Unique interiors and exteriors make it a really special area. It's fun to go on long walks and look at the varying styles.”

Popular Vaughn Park and adjacent Montgomery Academy border the neighborhood of long streets and well-kept yards.

“There is a large city park with tennis courts, playgrounds and pavilions in the heart of the neighborhood,” Hodges said. “Vaughn Meadows is conveniently located being equidistant to downtown and EastChase. It is very close to the major private schools. The Montgomery Academy and Evangel Christian Academy are within walking distance. Trinity Presbyterian and Catholic Preparatory Schools are less than three miles away.”

Homes were built from the 1960s to new construction, modern mini-mansions constructed in 2023 in Vaughn Meadows, Hodges said, adding that she is familiar with the neighborhood’s welcoming reputation.

“The neighborhood is friendly,” Hodges said. “This is my neighborhood. We lived in an 1,800 square foot rancher when the kids were little and then moved up to a 3,400 square foot two-story when they got bigger. We wanted to stay in this neighborhood as much of our family is in it as well. There is a lot of that, families all living within a few houses or streets of each other. People really get to know their neighbors too. We have a lot of ‘back door’ friendships in Vaughn Meadows, meaning they feel comfortable enough to just knock on the back door and come on in. The vast amount of sidewalks probably fosters this as well as the park.”

The home for sale at 2122 Vaughn Lane sits on a large corner lot. The home was built in 1983 and offers three updated bathrooms, a half bath, an office, two-car garage, an 18 by 36 saltwater pool, and a huge primary suite with two walk-in closets.

“This is a quality build. To build this home today it would cost $200 per square foot,” Hodges said. “This is being offered at $111 per square foot. The home is one story, so even after kids are grown and flown the parents will be able to live comfortably on one floor. I live right down the street, and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else in Montgomery.”

The property is for sale for $389,900. “The buyer gets a lot of house for the money. There is no mandatory HOA to drive you bonkers with endless rules, though we do have a strong voluntary HOA that helps keep the common areas looking nice,” Hodges said.
