“The neighborhood is friendly,” Hodges said. “This is my neighborhood. We wanted to stay in this neighborhood as much of our family is in it as well. There is a lot of that, families all living within a few houses or streets of each other. People really get to know their neighbors too. We have a lot of ‘back door’ friendships in Vaughn Meadows, meaning they feel comfortable enough to just knock on the back door and come on in. The vast amount of sidewalks probably fosters this as well as the park.”
